Extremely small radial cross-sectional dimensions; for the same inner diameter, the bearing's outer diameter and width are much smaller than ball bearings/cylindrical roller bearings, significantly saving installation space.

Extremely high radial load capacity; numerous needle rollers and long contact length make it suitable for heavy-duty and impact load conditions; it cannot withstand or can only withstand very small axial loads.

Diverse structures; available with stamped outer rings, solid outer rings, no inner ring/no outer ring, with cage/full complement needle rollers, etc., to adapt to different installation requirements.

Low coefficient of friction; controllable temperature rise; limiting speed is lower than ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings, with even lower speeds for full complement types, mostly used in low-to-medium speed conditions.

High precision and hardness requirements for the shaft and bearing housing; strict control of coaxiality is necessary during installation to avoid premature failure due to uneven needle roller loading.
